Petzl’s factory-assembled MEWP (mobile elevating work platform) kits provide a simple, ready-to-use, and ANSI & CSA-compliant fall protection solution for workers operating a boom lift, scissor lift, bucket truck, or other MEWPs. Each kit features a fall arrest harness, a fall arrest lanyard with connectors pre-installed on each end, and a bag for easy transportation and storing of the kit. Installation is quick and easy; simply attach the carabiner on the shock-absorber end to the fall arrest attachment point on the NEWTON harness, and the carabiner on the other end to the approved fall arrest anchor point in the MEWP.

NEWTON is a lightweight, ergonomic fall-arrest harness. The harness is easy to use; its straps are color-coded to simplify donning. It allows immediate access to tools, thanks to its equipment loops and slots for the TOOLBAG pouch. Its textile sternal attachment point, and its metal and textile dorsal attachment points, provide great versatility. It offers ergonomic stowage of MGO connectors and has fall indicators. It is certified to North American, European and Russian standards.

ABSORBICA-I lanyards feature a compact energy absorber, which provides energy absorption in case of a fall and limits the arresting force on the worker, in accordance with the ANSI and CSA standards*. Each lanyard comes pre-assembled with two Bm’D connectors (ANSI Z359.12 and CSA Z259.12 compliant) and two CAPTIV positioning bars, allowing it to meet the ANSI Z359.13 and CSA Z259.11 standards with no manual assembly required. If you already own a fall arrest harness, these pre-assembled lanyards are available for purchase separately. *Under the CSA Z259.11 standard, the user must weigh between 75 and 140 kg
Each MEWP kit comes with a BUCKET 15 bag to store and transport the kit. The BUCKET features a roll top closure, two large handles for carrying by hand, and an external zippered pocket. It is made of high-strength TPU tarp material and is resistant to UV exposure (doesn’t fade), oil, grease, and high and low temperatures.
